Fossil has announced the Caller ID wristwatch.Incorporating
Bluetooth wireless technology, the analog/digital watch is
designed to simplify how people interact and engage with their
mobile phones. When linked to a compatible handset, the novelty
will show incoming caller ID information and voicemail or
text message notifications on its face.

online for life; Record and store your phone calls (just like
voicemail); and on and on.... Interesting, but will it catch
on?

I think this is the first Social Networking Voicemail
service
Sometime between yesterday and today Evoca (www.evoca.com)
launched their biggest upgrade yet. Although they didn't officially
announce an upgrade, they made obvious improvements to their
profiling system and user connectivity. Now the Evoca community
can communicate by audio message to each other. They also
addded some great AJAX features!

A new angle on unified phone messaging
Om Malik writes about a new company called Grand Central
that is offering a system to unify all of your phone numbers
and voicemails. While this has been tried in the past, Grand
Central has some interesting new features like telemarketer
blacklisting, and voicemail interrupt.

Auto Voicemail Notifications
The periodic checking of new messages can be avoided in
a virtual voicemail system. In a virtual voicemail system,
one check for new messages using a special dial-up number
or a web interface provided by the service provider. Additionally,
the service provider notifies the user of new messages via
cell phone, pager, or through telephone.
